Ever since Khan's is under new management/leadership, the service and the atmosphere has gone way down. I used to frequent the restaurant because the environment was fun, and everyone was courteous. Today, I went in to get just vegetables and rice. I got 2 green bowls of veggies, and was telling the cook how I wanted them. I NEVER questioned them about price, just spoke of oils, and flavor. All of a sudden, the manager comes out from out of nowhere, probably the bathroom, and proceeds to tell me that I just got 2 plates of veggies, and that if I saw the menu(while pointing at it) at that point I thought I did something wrong. I said, "All I got was vegetable." He said yes but if you want a 2nd, get a red bowl. He then proceeded to tell me "I'm going to let it go this time, but now you know for next time." Remember, I HADN'T ASKED FOR ANYTHING, MUCH LESS A DISCOUNT. I told him that I didn't need his unwanted comments, or unsolicited remarks. Do all your managers lecture customers on what they can or can't order, or how much? I paid $20 dollars for rice and vegetables. I don't need a discount or freebie at the cost of a lecture. I could write so many words to describe tonight’s experience, but please just know this is the best Mongolian food that I have had in about 20 years!! That place was neat and clean. They had good tasty food so it was crowed. Good atmosphere vibe. You choose food items in plate and bowl. You also can choose as the ingredients for your food. They will cook in front of you and serve it. Chefs Oscar and Ruben were excellent and paid attention to small things requested.
